Raglan Art turns 2 with a group exhibition, This is Us

Amazing things can happen over coffee. Two years ago, 3 of us local artists got together at the local café and came up with the idea of a local art collective.

A website, an email newsletter, and 5 or so group exhibitions later, and we now have almost 20 members. (We met up at the pub last Friday for a drink and a chat, and had 12 of us squishing around the table!)

We’re pleased to announce our latest group exhibition, This is Us. With 16 of us exhibiting artworks, it’s an eclectic and exciting mix. We have a lot of painters using a variety of media – oil, acrylic, wax, and digital. Plus photography, textile art, and ethnic jewellery.

Where: Old School Arts Centre, 5 Stewart Street, Raglan
When: Opens on Saturday, 2nd of February. Open daily from 10am to 2pm, until the end of February.

One of the collective will be at the gallery most times. We’d love to see you – pop in, absorb and engage with the energy, support local art, and have a chat!
