Your online, stay-at-home

Arts weekend studio tour

Easter, 2020

Since we’re all locked down and staying at home,

let’s do an open art studio online!

You’re here! Hello! Happy Easter.

For this virtual art studio tour, I’ve made you a series of short videos. Grab a cup of tea/coffee, hot cross bun also recommended, start scrolling, and watch at your leisure.

Watch time: 1 minute

When you’re done watching, this way for the next video 👇

Since the start of the year, I’ve been creating a new nature-inspired collection. And since I was going to unveil the first paintings at the Raglan Arts Weekend, you get to see the big reveal here.

There is an upside to this online thing – you get to see the behind-the-scenes right here as well! (Including a guest appearance by my cat lap-warmer, Twisty).

Watch time: 4 minutes

My sketchbook/planner/journal is what brought my new collection, as well as this online tour project, to life.

Have a look through the pages, plus a sneak peek at one of the ideas that came from it:

Watch time: 2 minutes

You’ve seen my new nature-inspired collection.

But that’s not all! Let’s take a quick look at artworks from some of my previous collections:

Watch time: 3 minutes

And with that, we’re nearly at the end of the tour:

Watch time: 1 minute

If you’re enjoying this tour, please share this page with friends. I’d like to build a bigger audience for my work and very much appreciate your support.

Easter egg bonus!

You’ve found the not-so-secret, not-so-hidden Easter egg! Meet Kepler the goat (the real star of the show) and finish your online visit of Raglan with a tour of the harbour:

Watch time: 2 minutes

Before you go…

If you’d like to stay in touch, you can sign up to my email newsletter below. Every couple of weeks or so you’ll get to see more behind-the-scenes, videos like these, invites to exhibitions and events, and all sorts of art adventures.

I’d love to hear from you!

If you have any questions you’d like me to answer, or would like to leave me a guestbook sort of message, please leave me a comment below.

Thanks for watching! Take care and have a wonderful long Easter weekend.

  1. Ailene! THIS WAS AWESOME. I loved this virtual tour and seeing all the behind-the-scenes of how you create your pieces! Also – those fabric prints look gorgeous! Can’t wait to see how they turn out 🙂

    1. Thanks so much, Brogan! I’m so looking forward to doing something with that fabric – just as soon as the lockdown eases and I can get my hands on some matching thread! So glad you enjoyed the tour. 😁
